Disabled adult allowance raised to €900 a month and lower ceiling increase for couples
The decree raises the monthly disabled adult allowance (AAH) to €900, the second step of the exceptional increase started in 2018. At the same time it lowers the increase in the income ceiling for recipients living as a couple from 89% to 81% of the single-person ceiling. It applies to allowances due for November 2019.

Measure impact
AAH recipients living alone receive up to €900 per month. For some recipients in a couple, the lower income ceiling limits or cancels the gain, as the partner's income weighs more (a rule removed by the 2023 decoupling reform, separate entry).
