Disabled adult allowance: creation of the income supplement (€766 guarantee) and the independent living increase (€100)
Article 16 of the Act of 11 February 2005 for equal rights and opportunities of disabled people creates, from 1 July 2005 (Art. 95), two additions to the disabled adult allowance (AAH): an income guarantee, made up of the AAH and an income supplement, for people whose working capacity is very limited, and an independent living increase, not cumulative, for recipients living in independent housing. Decree No. 2005-725 of 29 June 2005 sets the income guarantee at €766 a month, the independent living increase at €100 a month, and the working capacity threshold at 5%. The former AAH supplement is kept until the end of the current award period (Art. 95, IV). The same Article 16 also reforms the combination of the AAH with earnings.
