Definition of the 'substantial and lasting restriction on access to employment' for the disabled adult allowance
The decree of 16 August 2011 creates Article D. 821-1-2 of the Social Security Code, which defines the criteria for the substantial and lasting restriction on access to employment required of disabled adult allowance applicants with a disability rate between 50% and 79%. The restriction is substantial when the disability causes significant difficulties in accessing employment that cannot be overcome by compensation measures or workplace adjustments; it is lasting when its foreseeable duration is at least one year. It is recognised for one to two years, and the corresponding allowance is granted for the same period.
