Flat-rate deduction for professional expenses on CSG and CRDS cut from 3% to 1.75%
The 2012 Social Security Financing Act reduced from 3% to 1.75% the flat-rate deduction for professional expenses applied to the base of the CSG and CRDS on wages. The deduction no longer applies to profit-sharing and the other items listed in Article L. 136-2 II of the Social Security Code.
Measure originators
A positive amount is revenue or savings for public finances; a negative amount is a cost or lost revenue.
Measure impact
For all employees, the share of wages subject to CSG and CRDS rose from 97% to 98.25%. The Senate report estimated the effect at about one euro per month for an employee on the minimum wage.
