Creation of long-term short-time work (APLD)

The decree of 28 July 2020 implements a specific short-time work scheme for lasting drops in activity, opened by a collective agreement with job-retention commitments. Working time can be cut by up to 40% of the legal duration (50% with administrative approval) for up to 24 months over 36. Employees receive 70% of gross pay; employers receive an allowance of 60% of gross hourly pay (56% for agreements sent from 1 October 2020), capped at 4.5 times the minimum wage.
