€200 subsidy for buying an electrically assisted bicycle
Decree 2017-196 creates a subsidy for buying a new electrically assisted bicycle without a lead battery, equal to 20% of the purchase price including tax and capped at €200, open to any adult resident in France, legal entities established in France and State administrations, for purchases made by 31 January 2018. An individual may receive it only once and it cannot be combined with local authority aid for the same purpose. The same aid applies to electric two-wheelers under 3 kW.
