Aid for collectively gas-heated housing (collective housing price shield, 2022)

Decree 2022-514 of 9 April 2022 creates an aid for people living in co-owned buildings, social housing, single-owner buildings or houses connected to a heating network that are collectively heated with natural gas. The aid offsets the gap between the variable part of Engie's B1 regulated tariff in force on 31 October 2021 and that tariff as it would have changed, for consumption from 1 November 2021 to 30 June 2022. It is paid through suppliers, boiler operators and heating networks and then deducted from service charges. Decree 2022-1430 of 14 November 2022 extends it to consumption from 1 July to 31 December 2022 and to domestic hot water.
