State aid to reduce the social security debts of Corsican farm employers (50% of contributions due before 1999)
Article 52 of the Corsica Act allows employers of farm labour established in Corsica who owe employer social security contributions for farm workers for periods before 1 January 1999 to receive state aid of up to 50% of those contributions. The aid requires a viability audit, being up to date with contributions after 1998, having paid at least half of the employer debt (or the first eight years of a repayment plan), being up to date with the employee share and authorising the State to be subrogated. Applications had to be filed within one year of publication of the Act.
