Exceptional €1,500 aid for independent newsagents in Paris and neighbouring municipalities
The decree of 17 October 2013 created an exceptional €1,500 aid for two categories of independent press retailers: newsstand operators and small-format specialist retailers located in Paris or in one of the eleven neighbouring municipalities listed in the decree. Applications were due by 31 March 2014, extended to 30 June 2014 by Decree No. 2014-482 of 13 May 2014. Management was entrusted to the Agency for Services and Payment.

Measure impact
The aid aimed to offset turnover losses during the Presstalis press distribution blockades of 2012-2013. According to a ministerial answer, 414 applications had been filed by 31 March 2014.
