Gas and electricity aid for businesses extended to end-2023 and simplified
Decree No. 2022-1575 of 16 December 2022 extends to 31 December 2023 the aid created by Decree No. 2022-967 of 1 July 2022 to offset higher natural gas and electricity supply costs for businesses, and extends it to heating or cooling produced from these energies. Access conditions are simplified: an energy price increase of at least 50% compared with 2021 and energy expenses above 3% of turnover.

Measure impact
Eligible businesses apply on impots.gouv.fr, by two-month periods, up to December 2023 expenses. The aid has three tiers capped at €4m, €50m and €150m (sectors exposed to carbon leakage); it can be combined with the electricity price damper for SMEs and micro-businesses with meters above 36 kVA.
