Housing benefits: end of flat-rate income assessment for low-paid young workers under 25
Decrees No. 2002-384, No. 2002-385 and No. 2002-399 of 20 March 2002 set aside the flat-rate income assessment used to calculate the family housing allowance, the social housing allowance and the personalised housing aid for single recipients under 25 who are self-employed or earn a net monthly wage below an amount set by order, and for couples where at least one member is under 25 and working, under the same wage condition. The wage ceilings are uprated every 1 July in line with prices excluding tobacco. The provisions apply to benefits due from the first day of the month following publication, i.e. April 2002.
