Cancellation of State public domain occupancy fees for three months
Article 1 of the third amending finance law for 2020 cancels, for three months from 12 March 2020, fees for occupying the public domain of the State and its public bodies owed by micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in tourism, hospitality, catering, sport, culture and events. For annual fees, a quarter of the amount is cancelled.
Measure originators
A positive amount is revenue or savings for public finances; a negative amount is a cost or lost revenue.
Measure impact
SMEs in listed sectors occupying State public land had three months of fees cancelled from 12 March 2020, or a quarter of their annual fee. The impact assessment puts the effect at €6 million for the State.
