Lower rates of the tax supporting retail trade and crafts (TACA)
Article 98 of the 2006 Amending Finance Act amends Article 3 of Act no. 72-657 of 13 July 1972. The rates of the tax supporting retail trade and crafts, owed by retail outlets above 400 m², fall from €7.50 to €6.75 per m² and from €9.24 to €8.32 per m² for outlets with turnover below €1,500 per m², and the formulas applying between €1,500 and €12,000 per m² are adjusted. Introduced by the National Assembly on the initiative of its finance committee, the article applies to the tax due in 2007. The TACA was later replaced by the tax on retail floor space (TASCOM).
