New 2017 scale for the ecological bonus and the conversion premium
Decree 2016-1980 overhauls the purchase and leasing aid for low-emission vehicles. The bonus is set at 27% of the purchase cost, capped at €6,000, for vehicles emitting up to 20 g CO2/km, and €1,000 for 21-60 g/km; it is extended to electric two- and three-wheelers and quadricycles (€250 per kWh of battery, capped at €1,000). The complementary aid becomes the 'conversion premium': €4,000 or €2,500 for a new electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle, and €1,000 or €500 for a recent vehicle bought by a non-taxpaying household, in exchange for scrapping an old diesel vehicle.
