2023 green bonus: up to €7,000 for low-income households, one bonus per person every three years

Decree No. 2022-1761 of 30 December 2022 sets the green bonus rules applicable from 1 January 2023 for new electric or hydrogen passenger cars: 27% of the purchase cost up to €5,000 for an individual (€3,000 for a legal entity), increased by €2,000 if reference taxable income per share is €14,089 or less. An individual can only receive it once every three years.

Measure impact

Households with reference taxable income per share of €14,089 or less can receive up to €7,000 for buying or leasing a new electric car costing no more than €47,000 including VAT and weighing under 2,400 kg. The decree also revises the scrappage bonus and bicycle aid.
