Tightening of the car environmental bonus scale in 2011
The decree of 23 December 2010 revises the purchase bonus for new low-CO2 vehicles for vehicles invoiced from 1 January 2011. The eligibility threshold is lowered to 110 g CO2/km. The 2011 scale is €5,000 up to 60 g, €800 from 61 to 90 g and €400 from 91 to 110 g, compared with €1,000 from 61 to 95 g, €500 from 96 to 115 g and €100 from 116 to 125 g in 2010. The specific scale for LPG and natural gas vehicles (€2,000 bonus) ends: these vehicles fall under the general scale. For hybrid vehicles, the emissions ceiling is lowered to 110 g. The decree of 22 March 2011 keeps the €5,000 bonus for vehicles of 60 g or less ordered by 31 December 2011, capped at 20% of the purchase cost. The scale was lowered again on 1 January 2012.
