2010 ecological bonus lowered and scrappage premium reduced, then extended to the end of 2010
Decree No. 2009-1581 of 18 December 2009 sets the ecological bonus scale for cars invoiced in 2010: €5,000 up to 60 g CO2/km, €1,000 from 61 to 95 g, €500 from 96 to 115 g, €100 from 116 to 125 g (compared with, in 2009, €5,000 up to 60 g, €1,000 from 61 to 100 g, €700 from 101 to 120 g and €200 from 121 to 130 g). Vehicles ordered by 31 December 2009 and invoiced by 31 March 2010 keep the 2009 scale. The same decree extends the scrappage premium, paid when a vehicle over ten years old is scrapped: €700 for a new car emitting at most 155 g ordered in the first half of 2010 and invoiced by 30 September 2010, then €500 (orders in the second half of 2010 or invoicing between 1 October 2010 and 31 March 2011), compared with €1,000 previously. Decree No. 2010-447 of 3 May 2010 amended the bonus table again.
