Green bonus restricted to electric cars reaching a minimum environmental score
Decree No. 2023-886 of 19 September 2023 makes the green bonus for new electric passenger cars conditional on reaching a minimum environmental score, mainly based on the carbon footprint of manufacturing the vehicle and its battery (steel, aluminium, other materials, assembly, transport). The order of the same day sets the calculation method and the minimum score at 60 points; ADEME publishes the list of eligible versions.

Measure impact
Only versions on the published list qualify for the bonus for orders from 10 October 2023. Vehicles ordered or leased up to and including 15 December 2023 and invoiced by 15 March 2024 remain under the former rules where they are more favourable.
