2025 car environmental bonus – transition to CEE

From 1 July 2025, the environmental bonus for electric vehicles is abolished and replaced by aid funded through energy savings certificates (CEE). Amounts: €4,200 for low-income households, €3,100 for other households.

Measure impact

Traditional environmental bonus abolished on 1 July 2025. Vehicles ordered before 1 December 2024 and invoiced before 14 February 2025 benefit from a transitional period under the former system (€2,000–€4,000 depending on reference taxable income). After July 2025, aid is paid through CEE, at €3,100 (standard) or €4,200 (fuel poverty and low/middle incomes).
