Tax shield lowered to 50% of income and extended to CSG and CRDS
Article 11 of the TEPA Act lowers the cap on direct taxes from 60% to 50% of income (Article 1 of the General Tax Code) and adds the CSG, the CRDS and social levies on earned, replacement and capital income to the taxes taken into account (Article 1649-0 A). The cap is now calculated against the income of a given year and the taxes relating to that income: for 2006 income, the corresponding income tax and the local taxes and wealth tax assessed in 2007, with a refund right acquired on 1 January 2008. Refunds are borne entirely by the State. The tax shield was abolished by the Amending Finance Act of 29 July 2011, its last application concerning 2010 income.
