Means-tested student grants: +€37 a month at every level and income ceilings raised by 6% (2023-2024)
The order of 13 April 2023 sets the rates of means-tested higher-education grants for 2023-2024: from €1,454 a year at level 0 bis to €6,335 at level 7 (10-month rate), compared with €1,084 and €5,965 in 2022-2023, i.e. €370 more a year at every level. A second order of the same day sets the income ceilings, which the ministry presents as raised by 6%. The merit aid stays at €900 and the international mobility aid at €400 a month.

Measure impact
All grant-holding students gain €37 a month over ten months, a 34% increase at level 0 bis and about 6% at level 7. According to the ministry, the higher ceilings allow about 35,000 additional students to receive a grant from the 2023 academic year.
