Energy savings certificates: new bonus for industrial electric boilers
The order of 1 September 2026 creates standardised operation sheet IND-UT-141 'Industrial electric boiler' in the energy savings certificate scheme: installing one or more new electric boilers (jet, electrode or immersion type) producing a heat-transfer fluid above 110 °C to fully replace the combustion boilers of an industrial site, or on a new site, a site extension or for a new heat need; installed electric capacity and the site's combustion boiler capacity must both be below 20 MW. It creates a bonus whose coefficient depends on installed capacity and requires 100% on-site checks. The order of 18 September 2026 redefines the bonus coefficient based on nominal thermal capacity installed.

Measure impact
Manufacturers that fully electrify their heat production above 110 °C (replacing all gas, oil, coal or biomass boilers, or installing on a new site), below 20 MW, can obtain a CEE bonus that depends on installed capacity (in MW). The euro amount depends on energy suppliers' offers.
