The rate of the competitiveness and employment tax credit (CICE) rises from 6% to 7% of pay up to 2.5 times the minimum wage, for pay paid from 1 January 2017.

Measure impact

Concerns companies with employees. The rate was brought back to 6% for pay paid in 2018 by the 2018 Finance Act, then the CICE was abolished on 1 January 2019 and replaced by a cut in employer contributions.
