Levy on State revenue compensating Corsica for territorial continuity extra costs, indexed to inflation
From 1 January 2027, the amendment establishes a levy on State revenue compensating the Corsican local authority for the extra costs of territorial continuity (Articles L. 4424-18 and L. 4424-19 of the General Code of Local Authorities). The compensation is set each year in the finance act according to the change in the consumer price index excluding tobacco, if positive. The stated aim is to end the freeze, since 2009, of the territorial continuity grant.
