GP consultation fee raised from €23 to €25
The medical agreement concluded on 25 August 2016 between the national health insurance and self-employed doctors' unions, approved by order of 20 October 2016, provides for higher consultation fees, including a rise in the general practitioner consultation from €23 to €25 on 1 May 2017. The split of coverage between compulsory health insurance (70%) and supplementary insurers (30%) is unchanged.

Patients seeing a sector 1 GP (or a sector 2 GP committed to limiting extra fees) from 1 May 2017: €25 instead of €23, the increase being covered by health insurance and supplementary insurers; according to the health insurance fund, little or no effect for insured people with supplementary cover. The fee was raised again later (€26.50 on 1 December 2023).
