Levy on company early-retirement schemes raised to 50% and early-retirement CSG aligned with earned income
Article 16 of the 2008 Social Security Financing Act raises from 24.15% to 50% the employer levy on early-retirement and early-exit benefits they pay (Article L. 137-10 of the Social Security Code) and allocates it to the national old-age insurance fund (CNAV). Early-retirement allowances are now subject to the general social contribution (CSG) at the earned-income rate (7.5%) instead of the replacement-income rate. These rules apply to early retirements starting on or after 11 October 2007; earlier ones keep the previous rules.
