Unemployment insurance agreement of 14 May 2014: rechargeable rights and new rules for combining benefits and earnings
The order of 25 June 2014 approves the unemployment insurance agreement of 14 May 2014 and its general regulations, making them binding on the employers and employees concerned. The agreement, covering 1 July 2014 to 30 June 2016, applies to employees whose contract ends on or after 1 July 2014. It introduces the recharging of rights at the end of the benefit period ("the more a person works, the more rights they accumulate") and allows benefits to be combined with earnings throughout the benefit period up to the previous wage; Articles 30 to 33 of the general regulations take effect on 1 October 2014. The contribution rate remains 6.40% (4% employer, 2.40% employee).
