Creation of medical deductibles on medicines, paramedical care and patient transport
Article 52 of the 2008 social security financing law created an annual deductible borne by patients on medicines, paramedical care and patient transport reimbursed by health insurance (excluding hospital stays and emergencies). Decree 2007-1937 of 26 December 2007 set the amounts: €0.50 per pack of medicine, €0.50 per paramedical act and €2 per transport, up to €50 a year, with daily caps of €2 for paramedical acts and €4 for transport.
