Creation of the organic farming tax credit (€1,200 per farm)
Article 75 of the Agricultural Orientation Act creates Article 244 quater L of the General Tax Code: farms with at least 40% of revenue from certified organic activities receive, for each of the years 2005 to 2007, a tax credit of €1,200, increased by €200 per organic hectare up to €800. Farms receiving conversion aid under a territorial farming contract or sustainable agriculture contract are excluded unless at least 50% of their area is organic without conversion aid. For GAEC partnerships, the amount is multiplied by the number of partners, up to three times. Decree No. 2006-793 of 4 July 2006 sets the details.
