Relocation tax credit for taking up a job raised from €1,500 to €2,000
Article 74 of the 2006 Amending Finance Act raises from €1,500 to €2,000 the tax credit under Article 200 duodecies of the General Tax Code, granted to jobseekers who move more than 200 km to take up a job lasting at least six months. It also removes the reference to an implementing decree. The new amount applies to taxpayers whose six-month period of work ends after 31 December 2006. The tax credit, introduced on an experimental basis by the 2006 Finance Act, expired on 31 December 2007 according to the Senate report.
