Research tax credit: volume share raised to 10% and cap to €10 million
Article 22 of the 2006 Finance Act amends Article 244 quater B of the General Tax Code for expenses incurred from 1 January 2006: the share of the research tax credit based on the volume of expenses rises from 5% to 10%, the share based on their increase falls from 45% to 40%, and the cap per company is raised from €8 million to €10 million. The higher cap results from an amendment by MP Jean-Michel Fourgous. The same article also doubles the staff costs of young PhDs and provides for repayment over four years, applicable from 2005.
