Rental income contribution: exemption for vacant dwellings re-let under a housing agreement and for social economy unions' dwellings
Articles 111 and 112 of the Social Cohesion Programming Act amend Article 234 nonies(III) of the General Tax Code (contribution on rental income). Article 111 extends the exemption for dwellings owned by non-profit bodies to those of social economy unions whose managers are unpaid. Article 112 exempts dwellings re-let, after more than twelve months of continuous vacancy, under a housing benefit (APL) agreement signed from 1 July 2004; the exemption runs until 31 December of the third year after the lease is signed. The rental income contribution was later abolished for individuals from 2007.
