Deductible CSG raised to 4.2 points on pensions and 5.8 points on investment income
Article 37 of the 2004 Amending Finance Act amends Article 154 quinquies of the General Tax Code to match the CSG increases decided by the Health Insurance Act of 13 August 2004. The share of CSG deductible from taxable income rises from 3.8 to 4.2 points for retirement and disability pensions (income under Article L. 136-8(II)(2°) of the Social Security Code), other replacement income remaining at 3.8 points, and from 5.1 to 5.8 points for investment and property income. The increase applies to pensions received from 1 January 2005 and to investment income realised from 1 January 2004. Deductible rates were later changed.
