Combining work and pension: alternative ceiling of 160% of the minimum wage and mentoring by retired former employees
Article 105 of the 2007 Social Security Financing Act amends Article L. 161-22 of the Social Security Code. A general-scheme retiree may combine their pension with salaried work when total earnings and pensions are below their last salary or, now, below 160% of the minimum wage (SMIC). The article also allows mentoring of employees by a retired former employee of the company, with the same employer, on a fixed-term contract, within duration and earnings limits set by decree (new Article L. 992-9 of the Labour Code). The Act was published in the Official Journal of 22 December 2006; 1 January 2007 is used as no specific date is set.
