'Borloo ancien' deduction raised to 60% for social and very social agreement housing
Article 49 of the law on mobilisation for housing and the fight against exclusion raises from 45% to 60% the specific deduction from rental income (Article 31, I, 1°, m of the General Tax Code) for homes let under an agreement with the National Housing Agency (Anah) at social or very social rents (Article L. 321-8 of the Construction and Housing Code). Article 50 specifies that the deduction runs for the whole term of the agreement, maintains it until the end of the current lease, and creates a 70% deduction when the home is let to an organisation for subletting or housing disadvantaged people, in high-demand areas.

Measure impact
Landlords who sign a social or very social rent agreement with Anah deduct 60% of gross rents instead of 45% when computing tax on rental income, and 70% when letting to a rental intermediation body. The scheme was replaced by the 'Louer abordable' deduction for agreements signed from 2017.
