60% flat-rate deduction for older homes let at capped rents to low-income tenants (leases from 2002)
Article 11 of the 2002 Finance Act amends Article 31 I 1° e of the General Tax Code. The flat-rate deduction on rental income rises to 60% for three years for unfurnished older homes let as a main residence under a lease signed, renewed or extended from 1 January 2002, where the owner undertakes for three years to respect rent and tenant income ceilings lower than those of the "Besson" scheme for older homes. Letting to an approved non-profit body housing disadvantaged people is allowed. The article also removes the exemption from the rental income contribution for Caisse des dépôts subsidiaries and grants it to homes of approved bodies housing disadvantaged people.
