Property losses deductible from total income for work protecting labelled natural heritage
Article 32 of the 2006 Amending Finance Act allows owners of protected natural areas to deduct without limit from their total income the property losses arising from maintenance and protection expenses, excluding loan interest. The expenses must have received a favourable opinion from the State environmental service and relate to areas protected under the Environment Code or the Town Planning Code that hold a label from the Fondation du patrimoine. The label sets the conditions of public access, unless the fragility of the site justifies an exception. The measure applies from the taxation of 2007 income.
