2023 crisis distillation aid for red and rosé wines
After the European Commission adopted on 22 June 2023 a delegated regulation allowing exceptional measures in the wine sector, FranceAgriMer opened by decision INTV-GPASV-2023-43 of 6 July 2023 a crisis distillation of red and rosé wines with EU financial support. The flat rates paid for bulk wine are €75/hl for PDO wines, €65/hl for PGI wines and €45/hl for wines without geographical indication, plus €5/hl for collection and distillation. The resulting alcohol must be used for industrial or energy purposes. A second phase began on 20 October 2023 and a third in January 2024.
