Appeal fee raised from €150 to €225 and extended until 2026
The 2015 Finance Act raised from €150 to €225 the fee payable by parties to appeal proceedings where legal representation is compulsory (Article 1635 bis P of the General Tax Code), and provided for its collection until 31 December 2026. The fee, allocated to the fund compensating the former profession of appeal court solicitors (avoués), applies to appeals lodged from 1 January 2015.

Litigants appealing before a court of appeal with compulsory representation: €225 per proceeding instead of €150. The 2027 finance bill proposes to make this fee permanent (existing entry).
