Higher customs duties on cereals and oilseeds from Russia and Belarus
Council Regulation (EU) 2024/1652 of 30 May 2024 subjects cereals, oilseeds and derived products, beet pulp and dried peas originating in or exported from Russia and Belarus to higher customs duties than those applied to other third countries, from 1 July 2024.

Measure impact
Russian and Belarusian cereals lose zero or reduced duties: specific duties per tonne (for example €95 per tonne for common wheat). Oilseeds and derived products: 50% ad valorem. Linseed: 10% until end-2024, 20% in 2025 and 50% from 2026. Goods merely in transit are not affected.
