Zero-interest eco-loan extended to 2021 and simplified
The 2019 Finance Act extends the zero-interest eco-loan to 31 December 2021 and relaxes its conditions. A single category of work is now enough (end of the requirement for a 'package' of at least two works) and insulation of lower floors becomes eligible, with staggered start dates (1 March and 1 July 2019 depending on the provision). For offers issued from 1 July 2019, the home need only have been completed more than two years earlier (instead of being built before 1990) and the repayment period may reach 15 years. A complementary loan may be granted within five years, up to €30,000 in total per home.
Measure originators
