Horse preparation and training classed as farm profits (excluding shows)
Activities preparing and training domestic horses for their use, excluding shows, are deemed agricultural (article L. 311-1 of the Rural Code) and their income is taxed as farm profits (article 63 of the General Tax Code). The definition replaces the one in the 2004 Finance Act, which also covered the use of adult horses for leisure. It applies to financial years starting from 1 January 2004; for local direct taxes, from 2005 assessments.
