Collective supplementary pensions and welfare cover: exclusion from the contribution base within limits set by decree
Article 113 of the pension reform Act rewrites Article L. 242-1 of the Social Security Code (and Article L. 741-10 of the Rural Code): employer contributions funding supplementary pension and welfare benefits are excluded from the social contribution base, within limits set by decree, when they are collective and compulsory and do not replace an element of pay. Contributions under former schemes that no longer meet these conditions remain excluded within the same limits until 30 June 2008. The levy on defined-benefit pension plans (Article 115) has its own entry.
