"Delalande" contribution: no contribution on dismissing an employee hired after age 45
Article 19 of the pension reform Act amends Article L. 321-13 of the Labour Code, which requires employers to pay a contribution to the unemployment insurance scheme when terminating an older employee's contract (the "Delalande" contribution). The former exemption for employees hired over 50 and registered as jobseekers for more than three months is limited to hirings before 28 May 2003. A new exemption covers terminating the contract of an employee hired over 45 where hiring took place from 28 May 2003, with no jobseeker registration condition.
