End of special Covid-19 sick leave without waiting days
Decree No. 2023-37 of 27 January 2023 limits section II of Article 27 of the 2023 Social Security Financing Act to sick leave issued up to 31 January 2023. This scheme allowed insured people who tested positive for Covid-19 and could not work, even remotely, to obtain paid sick leave online without waiting days, with the employer's top-up from the first day and no waiting day in the civil service. From 1 February 2023, the ordinary sick-leave rules apply.

Since 1 February 2023, an employee or civil servant who tests positive for Covid-19 and must stop working falls under the ordinary rules: leave prescribed by a doctor and waiting days (three days for general-scheme daily allowances, one day in the civil service).
