Public broadcasting licence fee not indexed in 2019 (€139 in mainland France)

By derogation from Article 1605 of the General Tax Code, the public broadcasting contribution is not indexed to inflation in 2019. It stays at its 2018 level: €139 in mainland France. The law also sets the amount of tax relief compensated by the State (€552.0 million) and the receipts threshold guaranteeing public broadcasting resources (€3,307.6 million).

Households liable for the public broadcasting contribution pay the same amount in 2019 as in 2018 (€139 in mainland France). According to the Senate general report, public broadcasting resources fall by €35.9 million in 2019 compared with 2018.
