Gradual increase in civil servants' pension contribution rate from 7.85% to 10.55%

Under Article 42 of the pension reform act of 9 November 2010, which provides that civil servants' contribution rate takes account of private-sector employee rates, Decree No. 2010-1749 of 30 December 2010 sets the path of the employee contribution rate under Article L. 61, 2° of the Civil and Military Pensions Code, and of the deductions for workers in State industrial establishments. The rate rises from 7.85% in 2010 to 8.12% in 2011, then by 0.27 points a year to 10.55% from 2020. The timetable was later accelerated by subsequent decrees, not detailed here.
