Flat tax on sales of precious metals raised from 10% to 11%
Article 30 of the 2018 Finance Act raises from 10% to 11% the flat tax due on sales of precious metals (gold, silver, platinum) by individuals (article 150 VK of the General Tax Code). The 6% rate for jewellery and works of art, collectors' items or antiques is unchanged. The measure, introduced by amendment in the National Assembly, accompanies the replacement of the wealth tax (ISF) by the real estate wealth tax (IFI).
