Work accident daily allowances extended to farm partners, family helpers and farm associates
The 2015 Social Security Financing Act extends daily allowances under the work accident insurance for self-employed farmers (ATEXA), previously limited to farm heads, to farm or agricultural business partners, family helpers and farm associates. The allowance equals a fraction of a flat annual earnings figure set by order, paid after a waiting period and increased beyond a period of incapacity set by decree.

Measure impact
Spouse partners, family helpers and farm associates who suffer a work accident or occupational disease receive daily allowances for sick leave prescribed from 1 January 2015. According to the impact assessment, this group is about 10% of the number of farm heads.
