Lump-sum compensation for people convicted, sanctioned or interned in connection with the events in Algeria
Article 13 of the Act of 23 February 2005 in favour of French repatriates opens a lump-sum compensation to French nationals who, in direct connection with the events in Algeria between 31 October 1954 and 3 July 1962, were subject to amnestied convictions or sanctions, or to expulsion, internment or house-arrest measures that forced them to stop working. The compensation is not taxable. Decree No. 2005-540 of 26 May 2005 sets it, for each quarter of inactivity, at 70% of one quarter of the annual minimum old-age pension for a single person; applications had to be sent to ANIFOM within one year.
